President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Jason Peay founded VersaTech in 2005 with a goal to solve problems using technology, and to create lasting relationships with both clients and employees by consistently following through on his commitments. Jason has a passion for innovation and a hands-on leadership style as demonstrated through his daily customer interactions and frequent ‘white-board’ sessions with staff and partners. Jason hold a B.S. in Entrepreneurial Business from Virginia Polytechnic Institute (Virginia Tech) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Radford University and sits on a number of professional boards, including Virginia Tech’s Center for the Enhancement of Engineering Diversity (CEED) and the Howard Tech Council Board. Jason’s hard work and dedication has been recognized by SmartCEO as a three-time Award recipient, and Future 50 as a two-time Award recipient – He has also led VersaTech to five consecutive awards of INC 5000 (2014 – 2018).
Vice President of Operations
Kevin Kess joined VersaTech in 2015 following a 33-year career in the Department of Defense (DoD) where he led billion-dollar Information Technology programs serving customers around the globe. His technical expertise, business management skill, and executive leadership contributes enormous value to VersaTech where he currently leads corporate operations and quality initiatives to include CMMI and ISO. His implementation of standardized processes and control mechanisms have directly contributed to VersaTech’s unparalleled growth, and his personal investment in his staff has empowered his team and directly contributed to VersaTech’s 98% retention rate.
Vice President of Delivery
Diana Smith has a reputation for successfully delivering IT projects and business programs for more than 20 years in both private and public sectors. As our VP for Delivery Diana is responsible for managing a portfolio of more than 35 prime contracts, ensuring delivery of a wide range of projects that are critical to client success, as well serving as our Agile software Subject Matter Expert (SME). Diana is the recipient of numerous leadership awards, including SmartCEO’s Brava Award for her irrepressible entrepreneurial spirit, a passion for giving back to the community, and being an exemplary leader at VersaTech. Diana’s leadership style is comparable to an accomplished orchestra conductor – defining the tone and setting the tempo in order to unify independent, talented team members – all while bringing out the best in each person and delivering a wonderful experience to the customer.
Vice President of Strategy and Innovation
Ross Andrews has applied his broad experience in Federal Acquisition, Information Technology, and Business Analysis to lead digital transformation initiatives within numerous enterprise environments over the past 25 years. Most recently Ross supported the United States Intelligence Community (IC) as a senior acquisition consultant, providing strategy, oversight, and leadership for a multi-billion-dollar suite of IT acquisitions to deliver Shared Services on a global scale. At VersaTech Ross leads our growth-oriented business units to include Business Development, Sales, Marketing, and our Innovation Incubator program, as well as developing and implementing growth strategies to ensure VersaTech can effectively deliver innovation in the years to come. Ross can frequently be found engaging staff and partners on new ideas in technology and business, connecting people, ideas, and technology to create highly successful outcomes for our clients.
