VersaTech Management Team

Jason Peay founded VersaTech in 2005 with a goal to solve problems using technology and to create lasting relationships with both clients and employees by consistently following through on his commitments.
Jason has a passion for innovation and a hands-on leadership style as demonstrated through his daily customer interactions and frequent ‘white-board’ sessions with staff and partners. Jason holds a B.S. in Entrepreneurial Business from Virginia Polytechnic Institute (Virginia Tech) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Radford University and sits on a number of professional boards, including Virginia Tech’s Center for the Enhancement of Engineering Diversity (CEED) and the Howard Tech Council Board.
Jason’s hard work and dedication has been recognized by SmartCEO as a three-time Award recipient, and Future 50 as a two-time Award recipient – He has also led VersaTech to seven consecutive awards of INC 5000 (2014 – 2020).
Bud is an accomplished, results-oriented Capture/Operations Executive with over 30 years of experience leading mission-focused complex organizations serving both Department of Defense (DoD) and Federal Civilian clients. Bud Joined VersaTech in 2019 to lead growth for the company. He has over 26 years of Profit and Loss (P & L) responsibility with a proven ability to win new business and expand revenue in diverse portfolios. Bud is a strong, “growth-driven”, business process advocate with experience analyzing business requirements to develop effective business-winning solutions, improve competitiveness, and optimize client offerings and delivery. He has a proven record of success by aligning operations and business development to achieve organizational goals. Bud attended Hampton University and holds a B.S. in Management.
Dominic brings an accomplished career-leading financial and business strategy to a diverse portfolio of businesses. He has over 20 years of experience as a CPA and has consulted with VersaTech for the past 5 years. He is a proven executive leader, operational strategist, and trusted Private Equity/CEO advisor with a record of sound financial guidance directing commercial entities and government contractors from mid ($50M-$100M) to large ($1B) businesses.

He has served as an Intelligence Analyst for the Army National Guard of Maryland, 29th Infantry Division, and holds a B.S. Degree in Accounting from the University of Virginia.
Kevin Kess joined VersaTech in 2015 following a 33-year career in the Department of Defense (DoD) where he led multi-billion dollar Information Technology programs serving customers around the globe as a member of the Federal Senior Executive Service. His technical expertise, business acumen, and executive leadership contribute enormous value to VersaTech where he currently oversees all existing client engagements across Federal, Local, and commercial portfolios. His implementation of standardized processes and control mechanisms, via certifications such as CMMI and ISO, have directly contributed to VersaTech’s unparalleled growth, and his investment in his staff has empowered his team and directly contributed to VersaTech’s 98% retention rate.
Diana is a Senior IT executive with 20+ years of demonstrated experience successfully leading multiple diverse portfolios and programs concurrently. She has proven business acumen and is committed to using and implementing standard processes and best practices for agile execution and quality deliverables. Strong focus on client relationship management, profitable revenue growth, and employee development. Significant large-scale program and project management with an excellent record of growing and managing profitable business. Possesses excellent leadership skills with an outstanding record of ramping up large projects, addressing challenging and heavy workloads, and building long term relationships with clients, partners, and suppliers. Diana has received awards for her leadership including Women in Technology and SmartCEO’s Brava Award, where winners combine their exemplary entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for giving back to their communities.
As a senior leader, Nancy Powell delivers mission-critical and innovative solutions to the public health sector. She demonstrates strong programmatic skills as well as focuses on the growth and development of her team. She consistently brings excellent value and a keen perspective to Versatech and our customers. Nancy joined VersaTech in 2016 and has successfully lead several high-profile transition-in, quality deliveries, and oversight of multiple and concurrent SDLC and IT Infrastructure and Support contracts. Nancy’s strategic mindset and attention-to-detail have allowed her to ensure both her customers and teams achieve their goals.
Director of Operations and Special Programs
As the Director of Finance and Accounting at VersaTech, Stephanie An is responsible for fostering the financial integrity and fiscal health of the organization. Stephanie plays a critical role in partnering with the senior leadership team in strategic decision making and as well as day-to-day management of the finance teams and their core functions including accounting, planning, financial reporting and compliance. Originally from Fuzhou, China, Stephanie lives in Elkridge, Maryland. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Towson University and a master’s degree in business administration from University of Maryland University College. Stephanie is married and has two children. She enjoys traveling with her family and finding a good bargain when shopping. Stephanie is a strong believer in treating everyone equally, with the same amount of respect and joy.
Jessica Dillon, Director of Enterprise Infrastructure, leads the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of Corporate Infrastructure and IT services and provides IT support and services to multiple different programs. Jessica believes that challenges make life interesting. Working in the IT realm presents a multitude of challenges on a daily basis. It is the constant challenges that has kept Jessica so engaged in her IT career and why she is so passionate about what she does. Jessica has 20+ years of IT experience and has worked with customers across multiple customer sites to implement solutions where others were not able to do so. She implemented a Corporate IT department and governance structure and has continually worked to improve IT services across the Corporate office as well as the Programs we support. She was the IT champion for the Corporate Digital Transformation Initiative to improve workflow, efficiency, cost effectiveness and transform the way we work together. Jessica has achieved the following certifications: CISSP, MCSA, CASP, Security+. Jessica holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Science with a major in Cyber and Network Security from ECPI University.
Ryan McMillen is a Director of Program Delivery who works with Diana Smith on the ITSS contract serving as a Deputy Program Manager and Task Lead. Ryan believes that a thorough understanding and fervent dedication to the client’s mission are key building blocks to excellent project delivery. He has supported numerous Federal customers over his career and is most proud of the data integration and big data platform implementation work he completed for an intelligence community customer which directly supports the war fighters of the United States Armed Forces. Ryan is a certified Program Management Professional (PMP) as well as ITIL Certified Practitioner. Additionally, he’s hold a CompTIA Security+ (Sec+), Certified Ethical Hacker (CET) as well as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certifications. Ryan has an MBA with a concentration in Project Management from Columbia Southern University.
Mathew Weiss is a Technology Director who oversees VersaTech’s agile software development teams at DOT NHTSA who produce and maintain over 40 major applications, including the NHTSA.gov website which can get up to 1M public user hits per hour. Mat believes his efforts at the DOT and other federal agencies have had a meaningful impact on our nation’s public health and safety. Mat introduced several high impact technology innovations for NIH’s National Children’s Study significantly improving study operations. Mat holds a Master of Science in Information Systems from UMBC.
